Respect, Responsibility, Aspiration, Resilience, Creativity

WELCOME

Welcome to Four Lanes Community Junior School. We strive to create an environment of which everyone is proud.  We look beyond the school gates and give children a sense of responsibility not only for themselves and each other but also their local community and the wider world.

We look forward to welcoming you to our school and working in partnership with you.

Staying Safe Online

At the moment, more of our time is being spent online whether it is for home learning, work or socialising.  The internet can be an amazing place but does come with some hazards that we need to be aware of to keep ourselves and our children safe.  There is a lot of support available to keep your child safe online. Below are some useful links to help parents and carers:

  • Thinkuknow (advice from the National Crime Agency to stay safe online)
  • Internet matters (support for parents and carers to keep their children safe online)
  • Parent info (support for parents and carers to keep their children safe online)
  • LGfL (support for parents and carers to keep their children safe online)
  • Net-aware (support for parents and careers from the NSPCC)

Home Learning Tasks – Week 2 Timetables Now Available

Teachers have been working extremely hard to plan ahead for the coming weeks. A weekly timetable has been drawn up for each year group with suggested activities for each day. We highly recommend that you complete the academic activities as these have been designed in line with teachers’ knowledge of the children and their learning to date. In addition to academic tasks we have also given suggestions of creative and leisure activities to help families manage the structure of each day.

All work can be found by clicking on the required year group page from the ‘Children’s Pages’ drop down menu or by clicking on your child’s year group here: Year 3, Year 4, Year 5, Year 6.

We have also updated our ‘Supporting Your Child’ website page with additional resources to help parents during this time.
